Festival news - Dynamo Open Air 2000:
Damned, for the first time I informed you wrong! This gigantic Dutch metalfest isn't in Assen and not 3 days but only ONE day. Assen is cancelled but the new place is also nice. It's in the Goffertpark in Nijmegen. Still are the only two bands confirmed Iron Maiden and Korn.

Iron Fire:
This is one of the new metal bands for 2000, they are releasing their new album Thunderstorm on the 20th of March. Recorded and mixed in the Danish Jailhouse Studios, "Thunderstorm" got this unbelievable power with the help of producer legend Tommy Hansen, who formerly worked on outstanding releases for Pretty Maids and Helloween such as Keeper 1&2, Master of the Rings, Time of the Oath, etc.. "Thunderstorm" can be best described as a rich mixture, containing fast and hard songs, powerful mid-tempo tracks and metal-hymns. Dragons and Knights, that is what IRON FIRES lyrics are about, slightly orientated on the best of those German Metal bands from the glorious eighties.

Iced Earth:
Iced Earth enters the new millenium with their first gold album! Alive in Athens has gone gold in Greece, and is well on its way to going platinum. Supposedly the last metal album to go gold in Greece was Iron Maiden's Fear of the Dark, in 1992, so this is an amazing (and well-deserved) accomplishment for the band.

Savatage:
Savatage is proud to announce the formation of our new record label Wild Child. Wild Child is Savatage’s label in partnership with Nuclear Blast. Nuclear Blast will offer us the resources needed to give our releases the attention they deserve. We took a lot of time and consideration in deciding what would be the most beneficial for Savatage. The ability to control our own destiny is most important to us. This coupled with the approach that Nuclear Blast takes towards metal is one that we feel is best for the music and vision of the band.
Savatage is also pleased to announce that Nuclear Blast will be carrying our merchandise. The products will become part of their extensive catalog in the upcoming months. Both Savatage and Nuclear Blast are looking forward to a long and productive future together.
